Madou Pump Station Enhancement in Tainan, Taiwan
◎ Models Installed: AF Series - Submersible Sewage / Wastewater Pumps
◎ Description:
Madou District, Taiwan, is famed for its pomelo and ancient pomelo tree. Its lowland location, however, makes it vulnerable to flooding under climate change. To address this challenge, the Tainan City Water Resources Bureau initiated a pump station enhancement project to help elevate the residents ’ quality of life and safeguard their properties. The enhancement includes a 1 km-long river diversion. The pumps must transport 420m 3 /h of water to mitigate flooding risks at 5m head. HCP PUMP 22kW 200(250)AFE422 has a non-clogged channel impeller with a capacity to pump 420m 3 /h at 13m head, ensuring effective water transport. By redirecting water and strengthening infrastructure, this upgrade enhances the community's resilience to environmental challenges and safeguards Madou District's cultural heritage and residents' livelihoods, securing a sustainable future.
AFE Series - submersible sewage / wastewater pumps has won 31th Taiwan Excellence Award!
